IN THE EAST
Marco’s Villa on the Beach near Cala Goloritzé
Rock climbing anyone? Mountain biking? Cave exploring, horse riding, snorkelling, trekking or just relaxing on the beach with unspoiled Sardinian nature, the choices are endless when you stay in the east side of the island. Stay at Marco’s Villa on the Beach and make your trip to Sardinia truly special. The villa is located actually on the beach and has a private terrace overlooking the sea in a coastal town called Santa Maria Navarrese. Marco can give you the best tips on what you can do in the area and can even organise a boat rental so you can explore the beautiful Golfo di Orosei the best way possible.
Book in advance, as Marco’s Villa is very popular. And if you are there in July, check out the Festival of Suckling Pig (Maialetto) that happens every July at the near by town called Baunei.
Make sure to check out the most photogenic beach in Sardinia, and don’t forget to take your snorkelling gears, as this is also one of the best snorkelling spots in Sardinia. Cala Goloritzé is not reachable by car so a good option is to walk there and taking the boat back, or vice versa. Just remember that the sun disappears behind the mountains from around 3pm so start your adventures at early hours and take plenty of water with you.
